Case Studies - Reports

Our involvement with sustainability reports ranges from proofreading, providing research support, and giving guidance on content through to full copy writing, artworking, web design and printing. Below are some examples of our work

Provident Financial CR Reports 2007 and 2008 Corporate Responsibility Reports

Provident Financial - Financial Services Company

Following the demerger from the international division in 2007, Provident Financial wanted a professional, high quality report detailing their CR activities. We produced Provident's 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 CR reports - including a full printed report and summary online version. The reports present the material in a modern, user-friendly and sophisticated way.

Canon Europe Sustainability Report 2009-10 Canon Europe Sustainability Report

Canon Europe

M4C helped Canon Europe with their 2009/10 and 2010/11 sustainability reports. We worked with them to create and develop the design and artwork and refine the copy. In addition, we designed and produced local language versions for a number of Canon's European sales operations - a total of 16 reports in 11 languages in 2010/11. The reports incorporated a local language translation of the main text and, in some cases, two pages containing country-specific information.

Adnams' Anerobic Digestor Anaerobic Digester Communications Report

Adnams - Brewer

In January 2010 Adnams received the go ahead to build an anaerobic digester at their distribution site in Southwold, Suffolk. The AD is one its kind - aiming to provide energy not only for Adnams but also the wider community. Adnams wanted a comprehensive communications report on all aspects of the AD from conception through technical specification to benefits. M4C researched and produced a communications report which forms the basis of all communications regarding the AD project.

Diageo Environment Brochure Environment Brochure

Diageo

Diageo wanted to engage their key stakeholders on their successes and achievements in reducing their environmental impact. M4C worked in partnership with Tayburn and Sastun to develop a high quality brochure which articulates Diageo’s journey toward environmental sustainability.

M4C’s primary responsibility was to develop the copy for the brochure. This involved a careful balancing act – making the brochure engaging and readable while remaining accurate and technically sound. The brochure communicates effectively both Diageo’s challenges and successes and is a useful tool to engage customers, investors, suppliers and employees in sustainability issues.

Allianz CSR Report 2009/10 2009/10 Corporate Responsibility Report

Allianz Insurance Plc

Allianz Insurance produced their first CR report in 2010. We helped them to develop and refine the copy and ensure their key messages were clear. We also developed the content and copy for a two page summary report to be used for sales and marketing. We also worked with them to produce their 2010/11 CR report.

Brother CR Report 2008/09 Corporate Responsibility Reports

Brother UK

Brother UK wanted help with their 2008/09 CR report from a copy writer with a good knowledge of corporate responsibility. M4C provided their experience and understanding of CR; writing and designing the report and accompanying summary report. We have since produced Brother UK's 2009/10 and 2010/11 CR report.

Nationwide CR Report 2008/09 2008/2009 Corporate Responsibility Report

Nationwide - Building Society

Having not produced a report the previous year and following a large reorganisation, Nationwide asked M4C to conduct research and develop content for their 2008/09 Nationwide Building Society Corporate Responsibility report.

SABMiller SD Way 2007/08 and 2008/09 Sustainable Development Report - Case Studies

SABMiller - Multinational Brewer

SABMiller required case studies to give authenticity and context to their sustainable development report and to add a flavour of what is happening across their global operations for the company's 10 sustainable development priorities. Following feedback from stakeholders on the 2007 report, the case studies needed to give more quantifiable information and detail. M4C produced the brief case studies for the print version of the 2008 and 2009 reports and additional, extended versions, for use on the website.

Deb Foam handwash article Foaming Handwash Article

Deb

Deb have developed a foam handwash which independent research shows has significant environmental impacts such as reduced water usage and energy used to heat the water.

Deb wanted an authoritative and engaging article to raise awareness of the benefits of the foam handwash. M4C produced a white paper documenting the findings of the independent research in an informative and engaging way using copy, tables and graphs. The white paper also explains why reducing the amount of water used whilst washing hands is important. The paper can be used for technical journals as well as the trade press. The article was published in Sustainable Business Magazine.
